About Me

Hello, my name is Cyrus Kharabaf and I'm a junior at Brea Olinda High School. This year I am taking GITA 3, AP Calc AB, AP Physics, APUSH, and AP Lang. Some of my favorite hobbies are playing video games and going to the gym.  I also am a big animal person and my favorite animals are cats. My favorite part last year was learning how to develop web pages and incorporating javascript into HTML to make my own games.

Although I am not completely certain on what I want to do for my future career, I'm sure that I want it to involve computer science. Some ideas for future careers I had was cybersecurity or becoming a web-developer. In order to do this I will have to maintain a high GPA, and I'm currently in CyberPatriots, Hack Club, Thrift Club, and I spend some free time voluntering at the Brea Muesum.

What is GITA?

GITA is a four year coding program where we learn to create games, websites, and alot more. So far we have learned C#, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. GITA helps prepare students for college and is also a fun class to take.

C#

In our first year of GITA we used Visual Studios to create some of our very first games and learned the basics of coding, including arrays, if-statements, and for loops. We coded using C#, a language designed to create web apps, desktop apps, mobile apps, and games on the .NET framework.

Notepad++

In our second year of GITA, we combined web developing skills and javascript to develop webpages independent of an IDE (integrated devlopment environment). For the front-end devlopment we combined HTML and CSS to design our pages, while we used Javascript to make games and animations.

P5 js

In our third year of GITA, we continued using an offshoot of javascript, P5 js to further hone our skills at creating games with a heavier focus on creating our own animations using the sketch function.
